France-based hotel group Accor has announced that it will take over and manage the Shanghai Skyway Landis Hotel in March 2009 and operate it under its upscale Pullman brand.
Located in the center of Shanghai's Luwan District and providing more than 650 rooms, Shanghai Skyway Landis Hotel was invested by SRE Group Limited and the Shanghai Changcheng Investment Holding Company. It was previously managed by Landis Hotels & Resorts, but the management failed to achieve the optimum room occupancy and the management agreement was terminated.
At present, Accor has four Pullman Hotels in China. With the exception of Pullman Sanya, which has been positioned as a holiday resort, these are are all positioned as five-star business hotels.
