Shanghai Airlines expands code-sharing

Shanghai Airlines has expanded its code-sharing with Deutsche Lufthansa AG increasing the total number of code-sharing flights between the two carriers to 12.

From March 29, 2009, the two airlines began to add three weekly roundtrip code-sharing flights between Nanjing and Frankfurt. The flights are operated by Lufthansa Airlines, a part of of Deutsche Lufthansa AG.

It is learned that members of Shanghai Airlines' Frequent Flyer Program will receive bonus mileage on the new flights and can use it to exchange for gifts provided by Shanghai Airlines and other members of Star Alliance.
