Chongqing Tourism Administration has issued a notice to regulate the service quality of one-day trips, covering the advertising, arrangements of tourist routes, and contracts for these trips.
With regard to shopping — which is the greatest source of complaints from tourists — the administration has made strict requirements. There should be at least three tourist attractions for a one-day trip, and there should be no more than two shopping locations, with shopping time limited to less than 40 minutes at each location.
Yuzhong tourism administrative department is now drafting a standard form contract for day trips: which will be the first in Chongqing.
