Pullman Hotels, the upscale Accor brand, is to open two new five-star hotels in Shanghai as part of its plans for developments in China, Thailand, and Vietnam that will add to the current operating network of 10 Pullman hotels and resorts in Asia — extending the group's development commitments to 17 hotels.
Pullman Shanghai Pudong Zhangjiang is scheduled to open in 2010. Located at the center of Pudong's Zhangjiang Hi-tech Zone, the 300-room hotel will be surrounded by more than 3,000 enterprises and factories and more than sixty Fortune 500 companies. In addition to being walking distance from the Metro Line 2 station (scheduled for operation in 2010 and linked to Pudong International Airport), the Pullman Pudong is also 10 minutes from Shanghai's New International Exhibition Centre, 15 minutes from the Jinqiao Hi-tech zone and the Lu Jia Zui Financial district.
Pullman Shanghai South will open in June 2013. Located in Xuhui District and directly opposite to Shanghai South Railway Station the new hotel will be part of the new Zhongxing City complex. The hotel will be integrated with an office building and shopping mall. Pullman Shanghai South will contain 350 rooms, three restaurants, two bars, an indoor swimming pool, health centre and spa, business centre and car parking area. There will also be a 1,000 square meter pillar-less ballroom and six meeting rooms.
