A charter flight operated by Shandong Airlines Company between Jinan in Shandong and Osaka in Japan, made its first flight recently from Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport.

The charter flights will make roundtrips between Jinan and Osaka every Monday and Friday. This is the third direct international passenger air route from the Yaoqiang Airport following routes to Hong Kong and Seoul.

Osaka is the economic hub of Kansai region of Japan; Jinan and its neighboring cities have already twinned with 13 cities in Kansai region. The charter flight is expected to become a scheduled flight in due course.
