Yudron, a native of Shannan Prefecture, won the title of "Tibet Tourism Image Ambassador" in the competition launched by the regional tourism bureau.

The competition, which attracted more than 1,000 contestants from the region's all seven prefectures and cities, included Tibetan dress show, folk song and dance performances and introduction to tourist spots.

Local authorities said the image ambassador would attend different promotion activities to promote Tibet's tourism.

"Tibet is a sacred resort to tourists around the globe," Yudron said. "I want to introduce Tibet to tourists in and out of China. I want to contribute to the regional tourism."
