Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture Tourism Industry Association Scenic Spots Branch has signed an agreement on friendly cooperation with Nantou County in Taiwan to develop tourism.

The related departments and associations of Dali and Nantou County will set up a regular contact system for collaboration on tourism products promotion, tourism industry regulations, market interaction, resource sharing, and cooperation in tourism development. They will also work to set up a tourism investment program database and will encourage enterprises and individuals to invest in third party tourism programs. Also, the two will make efforts to urge the government to simplify the procedures for mutual visits. In-depth travel routes to Dali and Nantou County will also be launched soon.

Dali is well-known for the Erhai Lake, while Nantou County has the well-known Sun Moon Lake. Yunnan was among the first batch of 13 mainland provinces were authorized to organize Taiwan tours.
