A team of 150 volunteers was established on May 26 in Qingdao, offering services in six languages for foreign events in the city.

The volunteers speak English, French, Japanese, Russian, German and Korean. They come from four universities — the Ocean University of China, Qingdao University, Qingdao University of Science and Technology and Qingdao Technological University.

The team will help out at international conferences, exhibitions and sports events which are on the increase with Qingdao taking on a more international role.
