Qingdao loaders hit world record

A team from Qingdao Port set a world record in unloading ore June 15, unloading 6,669 tons, the most ore from one ship in one hour.

It was the 12th time the team, led by Sun Bo, had set the world record. The former record, which was set by the team earlier this year, was 6,603 tons of ore from one ship in one hour, said Chang Dechuan, president of the port.

"When unloading the ore from the ship called Hangang Elites, the team had worked more than 27 hours because of a lack of staff and equipment," said Chang.
