The Library of Qingdao City recently brought in six touch-screen monitors and another eight large display monitor for easier reading.

The library’s deputy curator said four of the touch screens featuring 30 newspapers are installed at the entrance of the library, while two others are inside the library for kids to browse comics.

Meanwhile, the eight large display screens outside the library will mirror the touch screens inside the library by day and display popular local newspapers by night.

By the end of March, readers will get access to 80 newspapers, 150 periodicals and 50,000 e-books on the touch screens, according to the library.
