Founded in 1897, Kempinski Hotels is Europe's oldest and one of the most established luxury hotel chains. The company is known for being extremely discreet in choosing the locations for its properties. During a recent visit to Qingdao, president and CEO Reto Wittwer said the hotel values what the site has in terms of future potentials rather than its current status.
