The China (Qingdao) International Tea and Tea Culture Exposition will be held in Qingdao City, Shandong Province, from Nov. 2 to 6.
The exhibition will host 500 booths that will cover tea leaves, tea drinks, tea sets, tea leaf packaging designs, tea testing instruments and so on, according to Huajuchen, the company responsible for coordinating exhibition fairs.
As of July 15, approximately 200 tea enterprises have agreed to take part in the exhibition, including China National Cereals, Oils and Foodstuffs Corporation, Anhu Guorun Tea Industrial Co. Ltd. and Guangzhou Xiaohong Tea Industrial Co. Ltd.
Known for its long history of tea drinking, Shandong Province with a population of 94 million consumes nearly 50,000 tons of tea leaves every year. As one of the largest tea leaf production sites and trade centers in northern China, the host city, Qingdao enjoyed a tea leaf wholesale volume totaling 6,000 tons in 2011.
