Ticket design of the Qingdao World Horticulture Expo was unveiled on July 15.
The ticket, which is a little larger than a credit card, was designed by Chen Nan, who also designed the 2008 Olympic Mascot. Chen said that the she hoped the ‘colorful key’ design would reflect the characteristics of Qingdao and China’s high-tech world.
Tickets come in seven colors to represent the Seven Luminaries in traditional Chinese culture. Each ticket is fitted with an RFID chip so it can be used electronically.
