The beautiful sculptures carved out of stone and weighing a ton gave Shandong citizens in Jimo City a feast for the eyes.

The 2nd Qingdao International Sculpture Festival was officially kicked off on August 23. 46 famous sculptors from 12 countries, including Germany, participated in the Festival with 60 sculptures. It was stated earlier that the entire Sculpture Festival would be free of charge to the public and expected to last until August 25.

"Some sculptures exhibited here will be permanently kept in Jimo city," a person from the Shandong Jimo Cultural Broadcasting Press and Publication Bureau revealed to reporters. Among the 60 sculptures on display, 20 were created by several international master sculptors, with a funding of 2 million yuan.

After the exhibition, some of the works are placed inside the Mengwangshan park in the Jimo Economic Development Zone, which is a sculpturally themed park. Afterwards, this sculpture park will introduce various sculptures with the themes of "marine culture across the world" and "Jimo City's cultural history."
