Badaguan Scenic Area, located in the east of Qingdao city, Shandong Province, used to have eight avenues that were named after eight famous passes in China. Thus, it was named Badaguan, meaning “eight passes.” After 1949, two more avenues were built in the area and there are now actually ten avenues in total. However, its name remains the same.

Each of the ten avenues shows off different flowers and trees. In autumn, the avenues covered by colorful fallen leaves, turning Badaguan into a natural studio.

Not only the natural scenery of Badaguan attracts domestic and international tourists, but also its foreign-styled buildings and gardens. [Photo:qingdaonews.com]
