A circus act named “Pair Pole-climbing,” performed by the Qingdao Acrobatic Troupe, has won the only gold medal at the 10th Hungary Budapest International Circus Festival through fierce competition on January 13.
Initiated by the Hungary Acrobatic Art Association in 1996, the biannual festival attracted acrobatic troupes from around the globe to compete in every session. More than 70 acts from Germany, Ukraine, Bulgaria and other nations took part in the competition this time. Performances included acrobatics on the ground, in mid-air, zanyism and animal training.
The Qingdao Acrobatic Troupe has been invited to perform in Hungary for the duration of one month and its counterparts from UK, France, Spain, Germany and Holland have all shown their intentions for future cooperation.
