The Qingdao Blue Biological Medicine Industrial Park, incorporating many renowned enterprises in the field, has gone into operation since its opening ceremony on December 26, 2013.

Until now, the Shanghai New Summit Bio Pharmacy Group and 17 more of China’s leading biomedicine enterprises have entered the park; at the same time, about 30 enterprises have signed intentional agreements to enter the park.

One expert expressed that the marine biological medicine industry has been taking shape since 2012, when its output value totaled around 6.93 billion yuan in Qingdao. The park will accelerate the clustering and innovation effects of the industry and intends to become a leading research and development base in China, he added.
