China.org.cn, August 15, 2014 Print E-mail

Daxue Road in Qingdao, a coastal city in Shandong Province, is regarded as the oldest street in the city. With a history of over 100 years, the buildings on both sides of the street are all significant, and include the campus of the Ocean University of China. The name "Daxue" derives from the Chinese word for "university." [qingdaonews.com]
