Taiqing Palace. Among Qingdao's many attractions, the Taoist temples on Mt Laoshan offer spectacular views and tranquil settings. It was built 2,000 years ago and has been reconstructed repeatedly in almost every dynasty. Today it is largely a construction of the Song Dynasty (960-1279), unusual in Chinese religious sites.
