The opening ceremony of the Qingdao International Garment Industry City was held on Sept. 16. One of the features of the event was a joint branding conference of companies located in the area and brand designers. Zhang Yihua, one of China's top ten costume designers and the founder of Qingdao's YHZH custom brand; the promising young German designer Caesar; Xie Lihui, the Bronze-prize winner of the 2014 Qingdao Fashion Week Best Designers competition, and the brand Tian Di Man, with the Japanese designer Watanabe Issei as its chief designer, all put on brilliant performances. Brand strength and fashionable charm were highlighted in the show.
