The 13-year-old Qingdao girl Wang Yiming had participated in the field survival summer camp in America during her summer vacation, which left her an unforgettable memory. She flew to America all by herself, went through the barriers, pitched tents with her foreign mates, made outstanding performance in archery classes and got up as early as 5 a.m. for three days to swim, which brought her the ‘Polar Bear’ medal. She said that her overall abilities had been grown rapidly after the training.

Wang Yiming had been taught how to save the child who dropped in the water; she stated that the skill was so helpful that she would remember forever. She also learned to recognize different seeds, butterflies and animals in the nature classes. Besides the field survival project, Wang Yiming took part in the leadership training camp and received high evaluation as well.

The BSA is the biggest youth group with over 3 million members. The goal of the organization is to help the youth learn the field survival skills and deal with problems through camping, swimming training and climbing. And the Los Angeles Campsite, which Wang Yiming had chosen, is the best campsite in America.
