On Feb. 9, reporter learned that the working focus of culture construction in Qingdao has been released. After selected as the “CultureCapital of East Asia”, Qingdao will build international culture highland and establish core advantage of cultural development.

To successfully run a series of activities of “CultureCapital of East Asia” is the working focus for Qingdao in 2015 and it is a rare historic opportunity in urban development. These activities include opening and closing ceremony of “CultureCapital of East Asia”, China-Japan-ROK Culture and Art Education Forum, the 7thChina-Japan-ROK Cultural Ministers Meeting and communication with European cultural capital and ASEAN cultural cities. Besides, Qingdao will host talent contest, art festival and exhibition of arts and crafts, along with cultural forum andacademic exchange activities to show city's splendor to the world.

With policies of developing film and television industry and the construction of Qingdao film and television industrial park, Qingdao is well-prepared for making Qingdao a culturalhighland in the world.
