Among them, surrounding area of Qingdao North Railway Station is going to be built as a large urban gateway which combines transportation junction, business center, exhibition center and leisure center together.

The total investment of the supporting project for Qingdao North Railway Station including its west and east squares and underground space is 2.45 billion yuan. Construction work of West Square and underground space are completed and expected to be put into use by the end of 2015. East Square will be completed by the end of 2016.

Meanwhile, 334 million yuan is invested in building and expanding 7 roads including Anshun Road to complete the core traffic network and build efficient traffic system.

Qingdao has invested 200 million yuan on comprehensive control of Banqiaofang River downstream. Under the premise of satisfying citizens' needs, Banqiaofang River downstream will be built as a multi-functional urban landscape.
