Reporter learned from Qingdao Science and Technology Bureau that 9 international cooperation projects have got state subsidies for 28.01 million yuan. As a result, Qingdao is the city with the most projects and subsidies among all the cities in China.

These projects mainly focus on strategic new industries including equipment manufacturing, new materials, medical apparatus and instruments, biotechnology and electronic information, in collaboration with universities and institutions in America, Canada, Russia and EU. Nearly two-thirds of the projects are led or participated by enterprises, which means that enterprises have been the main force for Qingdao to cooperate with foreign countries in technology.
