Qingdao to launch national Graphene base
|
|||
A national graphene and advanced carbon materials industrial base was officially approved in Qingdao, a coastal city of Shandong province. It is the first international graphene innovation center in China and the only national graphene industry innovation and demonstration base in north China. Graphene is so far the thinnest and hardest nanometre material, featuring good light transmission, high coefficient of thermal conductivity electron mobility, and mechanical strength, and low resistivity, all of which many general materials don't possess. As of now it can be applied in five areas: energy storage, flexible displays, high precision sensor, efficient heat and electric conductance, and obstructing and penetration technology. However, graphene industry is still in its initial stage. Small and medium enterprises may be confronted with pressure by losses, which may restrict its development. |
