On Sep.17 local time, Day of Qingdao, held by the Qingdao government as an activity in the show week of Shandong Province, opened at the Chinese pavilion at Milan 2015 Expo.

More than 120 people from China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the related international organizations, the Organizing Committee of Milan Expo, Pavilions of some countries and the related organizations in Qingdao attended the activity.

Qingdao plays an important role in Shandong’s opening up to the outside world, with many local enterprises, like Qingdao Beer and Haier Cooperation, getting fame in the overseas market. As a result, Day of Qingdao was held as an individual activity this time.

With the theme Qingdao, the starting point of the new Silk Road, the activity involved the local traditional performance, the presentation of the cityscape, the ecological agriculture and the competitive marine industries, as well as the promotion meeting of the products in Qingdao and the tasting of Qingdao Beer.
