The 2015 Annual Global Congress of Knowledge Economy kicked off on Nov. 13, 2015, in Qingdao, East China's Shandong province.
Hosted by the Information Research Center of International Talent under the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, and Qingdao Chamber of China Chamber of International Commerce, the congress attracted around 400 experts and scholars from more than 40 countries and regions.
The three-day event consisted of 38 sub-forums and around 300 reports on topics including financial investment and innovation economy, 3D printing and the gene industry.
This is the second time Qingdao has held this annual event, which plays a major role in introducing advanced international technologies and boosting technological research and transformation.
