The Festival of German Cinema opened on Nov. 17, 2015, at Broadway Cinemas in Qingdao, a coastal city of east China's Shandong province, and will run through Nov. 28.

The ongoing film festival, now in its third edition, is an annual event organized by the Goethe Institute and German Films, a Munich-based association.

A selection of 10 movies, featuring historical and modern Germany, are being screened in the city.

Movies are also being screened in other three major cities - Beijing, Chengdu in Sichuan province, and Shenzhen in Guangdong province.
