Qingdao Beer shipped from coast to Tibet by train

A cargo train loaded with more than 1,000 tonnes of beer departed Qingdao, a coastal city of east China's Shandong province, for Lhasa, capital of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, to fulfill demand during the Spring Festival in Tibet. The beer is manufactured by the Tsingtao Brewery Co., Ltd with the packages and bottles printed in Tibetan characters. The train which started its journey from the Jiaozhou Railway Station will spend seven days traveling more than 4,000 km. |
