Siemens, German engineering giant, signed an agreement recently with the Sino-German Ecopark in Qingdao to set up its first overseas innovation center for intelligent manufacturing.
According to the agreement, the center will be principally engaged in technological innovation, development and applications in fields such as intelligent manufacturing, robotics, modern logistics, big data, information security and smart cities.
The center will also work with Chinese companies, particularly those in Qingdao, to develop technologies suitable for China and establish some national and industrial demonstration projects and technology standards.
