11 athletes from Qingdao, a port city of east China's Shandong province, become the members of China's Rio de Janeiro Olympics delegation.
As members of China’s delegation, table tennis Olympic champion Zhang Jike and badminton mixed doubles Olympic runner-up Ma Jin come from Qingdao.
Qingdao's heavyweight judoka Yu Song, winner of the world championship in 2015, is the biggest medal hope for the Chinese judo team at the Olympic Games, and she has full confidence to win the women's over 78-kilogram category in Rio.
China will send 416 athletes, including 35 Olympic champions, to the upcoming Rio Olympic Games. 160 men's athletes and 256 women from the Chinese delegation will compete in 210 events over 26 sports at the Games which open on Aug. 5 in Rio de Janeiro.
