The Qingdao municipal government signed a strategic agreement with Peking University on July 21, 2016, in the coastal city of Shandong province.

The agreement announced comprehensive cooperation to boost mutual development, covering various fields ranging from scientific research, innovative startups, talent cultivation to international exchanges and medical services.

Li Qun, Secretary of CPC Qingdao Committee, said that the city is committed to becoming an ideal place for innovation and startups.

Lin Jianhua, president of Peking University, said that Peking University would do its utmost to support the city's development.
