The first Huangdao Forum of the East Asia Marine Cooperation Platform kicked off on July 26, 2016, in Qingdao, Shandong province. The forum was organized by the State Oceanic Administration, Shandong provincial government, Qingdao municipal government and Administrative Committee of West Coast New Area. The international group aims to enhance exchanges and cooperation of marine-related sectors in China, Japan, South Korea and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.
