5. Climb to the top of Mount Lao Mount Mount Lao on the coast of the Yellow Sea is the highest peak along China’s coast, and a great place to view the nearby city in a sea of clouds. Legend says Mount Lao was originally part of the sea, but was changed into a mountain over a long period of time. Best time to visit: March – Sept.
