An international standardization forum will kick off in Qingdao, a coastal city of east China's Shandong province.
With the theme of "Standards make cities more intelligent," the three-day Qingdao Forum on International Standardization will open on June 27, 2017 and is scheduled to take place annually.
This year's event consists of a theme forum, six parallel forums and two international conferences. Six parallel forums will discuss high-speed railway equipment, sustainable urban development, shipbuilding industry development, and the development of the marine industries.
Two international conferences include the Central Secretariat Conference of International Organization for Standardization and the Sino-Germany Standardization Cooperation Conference.
