A freight train departed Jiaozhou of Qingdao, a coastal city of east China's Shandong province for the first time recently.
Loaded with 41 containers of mechanical equipment, tire, rubber, electrical household appliances, construction materials and commodities, it is the first China-Europe freight train to leave Qingdao, and is set to arrive in Moscow.
The train will leave Qingdao via Jinan, Tianjin, Manzhouli, a city in the Inner Mongolia autonomous region that borders Russia and then enter Russia.
The Qingdao-Moscow freight train will be scheduled to operate 12 times per year.
