The number of vehicles for the two programs of Mass Entrepreneurship and Mass Innovation in Qingdao has risen with increased quality.

Currently, the city is home to 24 municipal-level industrial parks for small- and micro-sized business as well as 57 ones under construction or being planned. The parks, covering 14 million square meters altogether, have attracted 4,024 enterprises and are expected to generate 100 billion yuan in output value.

Besides, the city has certified 40 municipal-level entrepreneurship and innovation bases for small- and micro-sized enterprises and are cultivating another 82. With a combined area of 2.59 million square meters, the bases are able to accommodate 12,000 enterprises, who can offer employment to nearly 50,000 people and achieve an annual output value of 10 billion yuan.

The parks and bases are transforming from traditional ones into smart ones that encourage innovation and entrepreneurship.

The parks have facilitated cooperation on innovation efforts among enterprises, scientific research institutes and service suppliers they host.

The entrepreneurship and innovation bases are developing a smart platform for offering public services, making facilities and equipment in common need available for public use, concentrating service resources, introducing key industrial projects, and attracting institutes engaging in R&D and industrialization of key technologies.

Small- and micro-sized enterprises in the bases are now enjoying a package of services ranging from market, technology, premise and financing to information and talents.

So far, six national-level entrepreneurship and innovation bases for small- and micro-sized enterprises and seven national-level demonstrative public service platforms for small- and medium-sized enterprises have been established in Qingdao.
