Recently, the first-round selection of 2017 China's Most Beautiful Villages came to an end and Dianbu Town in Laixi city, competiting with another more than 500 participating villages and towns, won a seat in the second-round selection.
Dianbu Town enjoys geographical advantages with its location at the junction of Laixi, Jimo and Pingdu cities and has been reputed as a “productive land” since ancient times. It is also rich in tourism resources and home to a national 3A level scenic spot.
Relying on these advantages, the town is committed to developing eco-agricultural tourism and building itself into an environmental-friendly and livable place.
Besides, the forest coverage rate of the town reaches 36%, green coverage rate 39% and public green space per capita 10.6 square meters, basically meeting the recreational needs of its residents and forming a "10-minute circle between home and recreational and fitness facilities."
Dianbu Town has been successively rated as a national environmental-friendly town and a national key town. It is also among the first batch of distinctive national towns for aviation culture.
