A few days ago, three foreign friends of Qingdao including famous soccer coach Klaus Schlappner won the title of Goodwill Envoy to Shandong People.

It is learned that this honorary title was established by Shandong People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries for foreign friends who have made contributions to Shandong’s economic and social development as well as its foreign exchange and cooperation with other countries.

Since 2009, 102 foreigners have won the annually-conferred title.
