The national technological innovation center for express train in Qingdao was officially established as a legal entity recently, marking the start of operation of China’s first national technological innovation center.

The center is co-established by CRRC and the government of Qingdao city in a bid to form a pattern of “three platforms, two centers, one network and one base”.

The “three platforms” include the platform of R&D for express traintechnologies and products, the platform of industrialization for scientific research findings and the platform of big data and application service.

The “two centers” refer to the technological cooperation, transfer and radiation center for express trains and the test and certification center for international rail transit equipment.

The “one network” is an open, international and professional network of collaborative innovation resources.

The “one base” means an industrial base with global influence.

Thus, an international, open and collaborative innovation network will be built with a role of “intelligence, collaboration, cooperation, transfer and radiation ” to make Qingdao a new pivot of the world’s technological innovation of express train.
