On September 5, China Disabled Persons’Federation, Shandong Disabled Persons’Federation and the government of Qingdao city signed the Agreement on Creating an Ice Hockey Team of China's Paralympics Delegation, marking the start of preparations to establish the team In Qingdao.
After establishment, the team will be trained in Qingdao to prepare for the 2022 Beijing Winter Paralympic Games.
According to the agreement, Qingdao will help to build and train the team and assist coaches to select talents and provide resources such as training fields, coaches and technologies as well as medical and logistic services.
On the same day, the National Sports Training Base for Disabled Persons was also inaugurated at Qingdao Guoxin Sports Center which boasts of a first-class ice hockey training base for disabled persons.
