Huawei’s headquarters for software, information industry and cloud computing were topped out at the Qingdao National High-tech Industrial Development Zone in Qingdao, Shandong, on Sept 1.

Huawei launched its software development cloud – DevCloud on the same day.

In the future, the technology giant aims to build the Qingdao base into one for cloud computing and software information with strong influence on the Northeast Asian market.

The base includes three programs - a cloud computing data center, a software innovation center and an intelligent cloud town. The smart cloud town program, a ollaboration between Huawei and the Qingdao high-tech zone, is said to be the first of its kind in China.
