The city of Qingdao publicized itself as the host of the 2018 Fragrant Hills Tourism Summit, an important annual event of the World Tourism Cities Federation, at this year’s summit in Los Angeles, Sept 19 – 20.

The Qingdao delegation promoted its rich tourism resources as a coastal city at the 2017 summit with a theme of Impact of Globalization on World Tourism City Development.

The Shandong province city successfully applied to be the host of next year in September 2016. It pledges to provide top-notch accommodation, food, transportation, communications, security and meeting spaces for next year’s summit, where thematic forums, trade shows, exhibitions and cultural activities will attract tourism organizations and government officials of tourism cities from across the world.
