Baihua Mountain
Boasting the third highest peak on the outskirts of Beijing, Baihuashan Mountain is a pleasant, cool retreat with winding creeks and dense vegetation that make the temperature here on average 10°c lower than downtown Beijing.
With spreading meadows of marvelous wild flowers, it is home to a diversity of flora distributed at different sea levels. Baihuashan has won acclaim as the "best forest experience" in a Beijing suburb. The forest here is dominated by various pine trees, like larch and Chinese pine. In fact, the mountain’s name in Chinese literally means a mountain boasting hundreds of flowers.
