Huizhou, with beautiful natural parks and thousands of years of history, has been, throughout its past, the political, economic, cultural and transportation hub of the Dongjiang River area.

Transport
Take the Shenzhen-Shantou Expressway to Huidong County, turn on to Pingduo Highway at the Duozhu Exit, and drive all the way to Huangsiyang Ancient Village. It takes around 2.5 hours to make the 200-kilometer trip.
Delicacies
Try the typical Huizhou Dongjiang dishes or Hakka dishes, such as Dongjiang salt-roast chicken, Dongjiang three stuffed delicacies, and Dongjiang stuffed bean curd.
TO Chinese, fuss and fun are the must-haves in New Year celebrations and they can be experienced in Guangdong during the approaching three-day New Year holiday. And Conghua and Zhongshan have some of the best offers for family trips.
Zhongshan has long been a popular tourist destination in Guangdong thanks to its beautiful mountain and water scenery, historic sites, as well as delicacies.
During the New Year holiday, the former residence of Sun Yat-sen in Cuiheng Village, founder of the Chinese Nationalist Party, is open for display and it’s worth taking a stroll down Sunxi Pedestrian Street. Transport
Take the Guangzhou-Shenzhen Expressway, Beijing-Zhuhai Expressway and the Yanhai Expressway. Take the Tanzhou Exit and then turn on to Shatan Highway to get to Zhongshan Sanxiang.
Delicacy
A taste of Zhongshan delicacies is a must, with Shiqi roast pigeons and fried snakes with pepper and salt among the most popular. There is also the production base for almond cookies in Zhongshan which is hundreds of years old.
