The United States Olympic Basketball Team have held an open training session in Las Vegas. They arrived in Sin City on Wenesday to prepare for the Summer Olympic Games, which are now just 2 weeks away.
The 12 member team began its training camp on Monday. Despite the high NBA pay-cheques and often inflated egos, each member says they are committed to a team concept vital to compete in an increasingly competitive international climate.
The team includes four players - LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, Dwyane Wade and Carlos Boozer - who played on the 2004 Olympic team and came away with a bronze medal.
This year's team has a loftier goal - they're hoping to win America's 13th gold medal. They face Canada in an exhibition game before heading to Macao and Shanghai for further pre-Olympic tune-ups.
