Zhi worked hard. She recorded her English lessons, then listened to the tapes. Her hard work paid off. Zhi's English improved quickly.

Last year, she welcomed an American family to Beijing. She toured around with them, speaking to them in English while visiting Beijing famous tourist attractions.

Zhi also benefited from her experience with the family. She gained confidence. Inspired -- she and her classmates now perform narration for an English Show.

For Zhi and her classmates, gratification comes when they make foreign visitors feel at home, speaking with someone far from home, in their native tongue.
