Phelps says he has no intention of quitting and wants to swim for at least another four years to compete at the 2012 London Olympics.
After winning an unprecedented eight gold medals in Beijing, Phelps might easily have been tempted to throw in the towel and start spending the millions of dollars flooding his bank account, but the 23-year-old American has no intentions of quitting.
He wants to swim for at least another four years to compete at the 2012 London Olympics and has not ruled out the prospect of trying to better Beijing by going for nine medals next time.
Phelps said, "I've no idea when I'm going to work out again next but I'm going to relax for a little bit. I probably won't be able to sit around for very long because I want to be always active and moving and exercising."
