The USA volleyball squad, guided by former Chinese Olympic player and coach Lang Ping,advance to the final round.

Tayyiba Haneef-Park led the USA with 12 points while Logan Tom added 11. Cuba was paced by 9 points apiece from Rosir Calderon and Yu-milka Ruiz.

The USA squad is, of course, guided by former Chinese Olympic player and coach Lang Ping, known abroad as Jenny Lang.

Her team will play for the championship on Saturday against the winner of tonight's semifinal which will pit China against Brazil. And Cuba will take on the loser in the match for the bronze medal.
