Day 4's table tennis action saw a landslide victory by the Chinese team.
Four out of five gold medals were secured by Chinese women players. The team got off to a good start with Liu Jing, who was crowned in the Women's Individual Class 1/2 after beating Italy's Pamela Pezzutto. Her teammate Li Qian continued the winning streak in the Women's Individual Class 3. Golds in Classes 5 and 9 will also go out to Chinese players, who have edged their rivals in the semi-finals.
Meanwhile, in the National Stadium, more world records were shattered. China's Zhu Kaipeng won the gold in the Men's Javelin F11/12, after breaking the old world records no less than four times in six throws. Another world record was set by US athlete Galli Jessica, who clocked in at 54.99 in the women's 400-meter T53 event.
Equally busy was the cycling track. British racer Sarah Storey set a new world record and took the gold in the Women's Individual Pursuit LC 1-2/CP4. And China's Dong Jingping beat her compatriot Ye Yapin in the bronze medal run-off.
